Bowing or tilting of your foundation walls is typically caused by the texture of the soil. Located beneath your home, these walls are perpetually surrounded by soil and they are the first to be affected whenever the ground is struck by disasters such as minor quakes, floods, and shifting soils.

Clay soil, for example, expands when it absorbs too much liquid. This expansion forces your foundation or basement walls to move inward, creating a bulge or slope. Upon drying up and returning to its original form, the soil leaves a gap between the wall and the ground – a spot too soft to support your foundation or basement. It is easy to spot a weakened wall, but difficult to repair if you are not equipped with the right tools for the job. That is why we, at KC Waterproofing, offer our wall reinforcement system installation service – a sure way to protect, secure, and stabilize tilting walls.

Wall Reinforcement System Explained

Wall reinforcement is just one of the many approaches we use when doing foundation repairs. This system is made from Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (10x stronger than steel) and its sole purpose is to reinforce the walls from the inside. In addition to being unsightly, bowing and tilting walls are downright dangerous. Without proper repair, the wall can collapse and bring all sorts of foreign debris inside your property. By placing this system on your walls, you can avoid wall damages and other structural mishaps associated with the changing soil texture.

KC Waterproofing only uses the best products available. Whenever a wall reinforcement system installment request lands in our hands, we make sure that we are equipped with the CarbonArmor® and ArmorLock™. With these two products keeping your wall intact, you will not have to worry about your foundation or basement losing strength.

Installation Process

Step 1: Prepare the wall surface.

Step 2: Measure the wall and cut the CarbonArmor® to the proper length.

Step 3: Saturate CarbonArmor® with epoxy, as well as the wall.

Step 4: Strap the CarbonArmor® onto the wall.

Step 5: Place a final coat of epoxy on the finished setup.

Step 6 (optional): Connect the CarbonArmor® to the ArmorLock™ for extra durability.
